due to my intense level of busy i was not able to discuss much about seattle so here's all the highlights!
the hotel room fiasco
so, before the trip, director put all the tasks involved with seattle on me (i.e. arranging material, registering for the event, etc.). this also included booking the hotel. in her email to me it was quite obvious that we were to share a hotel room....but i just couldn't do it! so i booked two rooms (total $1400). i didn't try to hide it though; in my correspondence to her i made sure to say "rooms" and even forwarded her the confirmation email. so when we got to the hotel and she found out that i indeed booked 2 rooms she decided to act brand new. this act was so fake. i asked her, "should i go downstairs and get 1 room for us?" she responded, "i'm not giving up my room!"
director didn't do anything.
the first 2 days of being in seattle i did not see director even though out hotel rooms were side by side. when i finally got in contact with her (i broke down and called her cell to make sure she was still alive) she told me she had been party hopping. she didn't even attend any of the sessions of the conference the first two days!
i made a mistake
after i called her to check in, i told director that we should do lunch. well, lunch turned into spending 1.5 days together. we went on a tour of the city together, i taught her to text, i ate dinner with her boring friends, and we even went to the conference social together....ugh! i had had enough! the next day she wanted to do dinner again and i had to back out....i made up that i had dinner plans with some other admissions counselors i met!
but the good are always rewarded!
at the social, i had to sneak off to get away from director and met this very awesome guy who made my last night in seattle pretty memorable! when i made up plans to get out of dinner with director i decided to text him so that i wouldn't be a total liar. we hung out later that night in my room and did some kissy face (i'm a kissing slut....as friends you should know that). but here's the funny part, i brought him back to my hotel room (remember director's room is next to mine?) and the next day as we were heading to the airport she asked, "did you have a date last night?" hilarious!
stay fab!
