so i took a little break because nothing was really going on so i figured i should go and do something so i can have a story to tell...and still nothing.
anyway, have you noticed it's a new year?!
i don't usually do the resolution thing but this year seems so big, so hopeful (despite global news),so i feel as if i have to be big, hopeful, and new!
here are some projects (ha!) i have going on in my life right now:
1. piano lessons
i started playing the piano when i was eight and stopped at 16, i've always loved it and decided that now is the time to get back to it!
i start my lessons this weekend! i have a man teacher...ugh...for some reason male piano teachers give me the creeps.
2. better work attitude
i know it seems as if i hate my job, but i don't...i just see myself doing bigger and better things! but until i can get to the next chapter in my life i need to be a better worker. that means getting to work on time, presenting my best work, and staying busy. and so far my game has been on point. i have been been getting to work on time, being active in the office (being more vocal), and basically doing my job. i really should humble myself if i expect to move on in the next phase of my life!
3. work out harder
i've always been a workout feign, but now i want to look like a workout feign! over the break i incorporated running and i can now do 3 miles! it took so long to get to this point. i also want to get more defined muscles and finally get the abs i've always wanted. wish me luck!
4. more yoga
since becoming an exercise feign i've forgotten what it feels like for a workout to not involve rapid pulsations, loud music, and pounding the pavement.
5. get into an awesome grad program
i'm actually serious about this grad school thing. i have 3 schools i am applying to, but the part that worries me most are the freaking essays. i really do believe i will create a masterpiece statement of purpose, but to ensure that my creative juices stay ready to create i am taking another writing class...an essay writing class to be exact! there will be no shucking and jiving this year!
